Website design is the process of figuring out what the website will contain and how it will look. It is a separate process from the construction process which will do the actual build.
Design can be done on paper, or by using any tools like Notes, Word, or any graphic product.
The Design process creates the look the website, it describes how it will look, and what it will contain.
- Storyboard the Website.
- Define a common layout for the site
- Define an approach - whimsical, fun, serious, etc.
- Answer the following questions
- Common Header and Footer?
- Where is the logo?
- Legal Requirements?
- Accessibility?
- 404 page
- Table of Contents
- Navigation
- Site Map
- "What's New"
- Privacy Statement
